- Blade is large, broad, and triangular in shape with rounded edges. Relatively thin.
- Base is usually concave but occasionally straight
- Stem sides are straight and square. Some large blades had a short triangular stem.
- Size: Length = 70 mm - 170 mm (average 100mm), Width = 35 mm - 70 mm (average 50 mm).
- Distribution
- East of the Appalachians from New Jersey to northern Florida

- Material
- Doerschuk site: porphyritic rhyolite or andesite
- Gaston site: quartzite
- Technique of Manufacture
- Produced by percussion flaking with minimal pressure flaking and retouching
to smooth out irregularities
Small Savannah River Stemmed Point
- Summary description
- A small to medium sized broad triangular blade with a rectangular stem and a straight or excurvate base.
- Form
- Blade is triangular generally with excurvate edges.
- Base is straight or excurvate.
- Stem sides are straight or slightly contracting.
- Shoulders slope toward base and are well defined.
- Size: Length = 43 mm - 57 mm (average 51mm), Width = 22 mm - 34 mm (average 29 mm),
Thickness = 8 mm - 11 mm (average 9 mm).

- This broad blade tradition extends from Florida to the middle Atlantic states east of the Appalachians

- Material
- Major: Rhyolite and andesite
- Minor: Quartzite
- Technique of Manufacture
- Almost entirely by percussion although some specimens showed minor reworking by pressure flaking.
