    • Broad triangular blade with a small squared stem and a shallow notched base

    • Blade is triangular and broad. Sides slightly concave and serrated. Well formed and symmetrical.
    • Base is concave and thinned
    • Stem is small with parallel sides
    • Shoulder is wide and straight, usually at right angle to the stem
    • Size: Length = 40 mm - 80 mm (average 55mm), Width = 25 mm - 45 mm (average 35mm).

    • Atlantic coast between New Jersey and northern Florida
  • Age
    • 6000 - 5000 BCE
  • Material
    • Major: Porphyritic rhyolite and andesite. Quartz and argillite not used.
  • Technique of Manufacture
    • Apparently a combination of pressure and percussion flaking. Large flakes struck off initially followed by finishing edge using pressure flaking
